Advancing our RLS Corrosion Detection Technology into Japan

Our Chief Executive Officer Sam Chiong Kok reflected on a challenging yet fulfilling week in Japan, where we supported CMT’s Japanese partner in conducting field tests using Relative Loss of Section (RLS) corrosion detection technology on streetlight poles in a prefecture south of Tokyo.

RLS, a pioneering English technology, scientifically quantifies corrosion levels in planted steel structures and offers valuable recommendations for retest frequencies and replacement timelines based on measured conditions.

The week culminated in finalising the exclusive licensee agreement for Japan, and CMT looks forward to nurturing and expanding our partnership as we move forward.

Sam deeply appreciates the fantastic hospitality extended to him and offers to reciprocate the kindness when our Japanese partner visits Singapore.
